New Ni No Kuni 2 Revenant Kingdom Videos Show Off RTS Combat and Epic Boss Fight

Bandai Namco are hyping up fans for the upcoming Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom with a brand new trailer. The trailer gives fans a glimpse at what’s in store for them in the JRPG sequel.

Although dubbed as a gameplay trailer, it also teases the story of the game. For more background, the Steam description summarizes the plot this way: “After being overthrown in a coup, the young king Evan sets out on an extraordinary quest to found a new kingdom, unite his world and protect its inhabitants from the dark forces that threaten them.”

The game promises to deliver an experience that crosses an animated feature film with a video game. The game will also feature character designs by legendary artist Yoshiyuki Momose and music by composer Joe Hisaishi.

Aside from the gameplay trailer, another video of the game emerged recently from AllGamesDelta. The video features a full boss fight, albeit a failed attempt, where the protagonists face off against a gigantic dragon. The video showcases the game’s Pikmin-inspired RTS elements and how they affect gameplay.
