Sintopia looks like a refreshingly twisted take on the god-sim genre, letting you manage Hell with a level of dark humor that’s genuinely entertaining. The mix of city-building and soul punishment is a creative pivot that makes it stand out from traditional management games.
Sintopia gameplay is the usual city management but it is way more original than any other I have played, this time we are the new manager of a facility in Hell, where we must build all kind of funny buildings for the sinner souls, entertainment, punishment, redemption, production etc depending on what kind of devil lord we want to be, and we can also use out power in the surface to try to attract more sinner souls. A really fun game full of surprises and devilish events.
In Sintopia, there are two time frames: managing a city in the world of the living using traditional mechanisms, nothing revolutionary. But you play as the devil, it's a god game, and vice is at the heart of the game: you deliberately punish souls and personalize sins, managing the chain of passage to hell, in a way! It's an original approach, and I like the basic idea.
Sintopia has taken its time coming together, with plans changing from an Early Access drop in 2025 to a full launch in 2026. It feels like one of those niche strategy titles you’ll either really get into once it’s finished or just keep an eye on until there’s more of a clear picture.
