In an interview with Kotaku, Greene said that “Battleye have already tweeted out that I think 99 percent of cheats in the game right now are coming out of China.”

Of course, cheaters can be seen everywhere it is just that it seems like it is more acceptable to cheat in games in this location than anywhere else.

Greene says, “There’s a massive cheat market not only in China, but around the world…But it’s seen as kind of a little bit more acceptable to cheat in games in China. Also, geographically, they just have a lot more people than anywhere else in the world.”

Because of the announcement players from other regions are calling out a ban on Chinese players even though they are from other regions. Greene is being fair in this by saying that that is not a good idea. “Yes, the majority of cheats come out of China, but that doesn’t mean that all Chinese players are cheaters. This idea that just because you’ve got a few bad eggs, you’ve gotta ban a whole country is a bit reactive.”

He goes on to say that the Chinese community in PUBG is strong and that they love the game. “Why would we restrict them from playing on servers? I just don’t get the attitude of people.”

Greene does encourage players who encounter cheaters to report them if it is not reported, then they won’t be able to do anything about it. The anti-cheat provider is also being upgraded with systems being “built and trained” to lessen cheaters.
