“Our recent Game Pass update remains unchanged. Current subscribers in certain countries will continue to renew at their existing rate for now, in accordance with local regulations. We’ll provide advance notice before any price adjustments take effect in these countries.”
This statement suggests that Microsoft is following country-specific pricing laws, ensuring smoother transitions for existing users.
Which Countries Are Spared from the Xbox Game Pass Increase?
According to reports, subscribers in Poland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, South Korea, and India have received Microsoft’s confirmation email stating their prices will remain unchanged for now. Meanwhile, French subscribers, as many others, won’t be as fortunate — the price increase applies to everyone in France, with the higher rates taking effect shortly.
