Xbox Game Pass: How to Get It On Steam Deck

Microsoft has released instructions on how to get their popular Xbox Game Pass on Steam Deck using Xbox Cloud Gaming.

HOW TO RUN XBOX GAME PASS ON STEAM DECK

Valve’s Steam Deck is all the talk in gaming as players can now take their entire Steam library mobile.

But, you can also take your Xbox Game Pass membership with you too.

This is how to install Xbox Game Pass on Steam Deck:

Note: It’s best to use a mouse and keyboard when downloading Xbox Game Pass on Steam Deck.

• Press Steam menu > Power > Switch to Desktop
• Click the Discover Software Center icon

• Through the menu choose Internet > Web Browsers
• Find Microsoft Edge Beta and click install
• On the Desktop, select Applications Launcher on the bottom left of the taskbar
• Navigate to Internet
• Right-click on Microsoft Edge (beta) > Add Selected Programs

• In the Add a Game window, find and select Microsoft Edge (beta)
• In the Applications menu, navigate to System > Konsole
• Set the override by entering this command in Konsole:

flatpak –user override –filesystem=/run/udev:ro com.microsoft.Edge

• Head to the Desktop and launch Steam

• Head to your Library and locate Microsoft Edge (beta)
• Right-click on it and choose Properties
• Change the name to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta)
• Locate LAUNCH OPTIONS and append the following:

–window-size=1024,640 –force-device-scale-factor=1.25 –device-scale-factor=1.25 –kiosk “https://www.xbox.com/play”

You can then switch the controller layout to Gamepad with the touchpad acting as Mouse by doing the following steps:

• Select the gear icon top right > Manage > Controller layout
• Browse templates and select Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad
