Wow patch 9.2 is just about ready to release and it brings with it Protoform Synthesis, a new sub-profession that allows you to craft pets and mounts.

Unlock the Protoform Synthesis Quest

To receive the quest, you first need to complete Chapter 3 of the Eternity’s End campaign and unlock the Cyphers of the First Ones.

Once you have the Daelic Understanding talent, you can accept the Protoform Synthesis quest from Pocopoc.

How to Craft Battle Pets Using Protoform Synthesis in WoW Patch 9.2

Crafting battle pets is done using the Synthesis Forge found in Droning Precipice.

There are several battle pet schematics already available for you to get you started, but to craft more, you will need to find schematics throughout Zereth Mortis.

How to Craft Mounts in WoW Patch 9.2

After learning more about the Cyphers of the First Ones and completing Trebalim Understanding, you will unlock the Finding Tahil quest.

The quest line will send you to Pilgrim’s Grace, where you can find the second Synthesis Forge.

What Do I Need to Craft Pets and Mounts in Patch 9.2?

To craft mounts and battle pets, you need several components.

• Schematics – Schematics are found while you adventure, quest, and raid, and fortunately you only need one schematic to craft a pet.
• Lattice – A Lattice is used to create your pet or mount’s body, and the pet or mount you wish to make will depend on the Lattice you need to acquire.
• Rare/Glimmer  Items – Mounts will require rare items, such as Eternal Ragepearl and Crystalized Echo of the First Song. Battle Pets need Glimmer items, such as Glimmer of Motion and Glimmer of Vigilance.
• Genesis Motes – Genesis Motes are used to create pets and mounts, with motes dropping from wildlife, elementals, and devourers. The average cost to craft a Battle Pet is 300 motes, and for mounts it is 400 motes.
