Along with the new map comes the “Torments” system. These special Codex pages unlock high-risk challenges for greater loot drops. But be warned: the new “Extraction 2.0” system increases World Corruption the longer you stay, forcing you to make tough economic decisions on the fly.

Another massive quality-of-life win is the new Shooting Range in the Shrouded Hermitorium. It includes a Bestiary, allowing you to test weapon DPS and elemental effects safely. This is crucial for optimizing your loadout without risking your hard-earned loot in the field.

With 500,000 players and a clear roadmap to version 1.0, Witchfire has graduated from an experimental roguelite to a polished, heavyweight shooter. In my opinion, the addition of melee combat and the Shooting Range removes the friction that kept some players away.
