In a surprising move that we didn’t ask for, but one we apparently needed, stand-up comedian and recent 2024 Grammy Awards host Trevor Noah has collaborated with Epic Games to produce a stand-up comedy special in Fortnite called “JokeNight.”
Trevor Noah’s step into the virtual world follows other celebrities such as Eminem, Ariana Grande, and Travis Scott, who have all performed for Epic Games’ battle royale audience. In a statement about the JokeNight event, Trevor Noah said, “I’m excited to step into this uncharted territory, breaking down traditional barriers and offering a fresh, dynamic way for fans to experience comedy.”
JokeNight is an island players can visit within Fortnite by heading to “Epic Picks” in the Discover page or by entering the island code 6296-7829-6524. Once players are there, they can watch motion-captured performances from Matthew Broussard, Marcia Belsky, Scott Seiss, and Preacher Lawson. Players can vote for which act they want to see or see a bit of each if they choose not to vote.
