Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Ubisoft has just released a new video for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that details the developer’s plans for post-launch content. Since no new Assassin’s Creed will be launching next year, fans have been expecting robust post-launch support for the upcoming game. It looks like they won’t be disappointed.

Those who purchased or will purchase the game’s Season Pass will be receiving 2 episodic story DLC. The first is called Legacy of the First Blade which reveals the first person to use the Hidden Blade. Players will get to learn more about the events that led to the formation of the Assassins. The second is entitled The Fate of Atlantis where players take on mythical creatures as they uncover the mysteries of the legendary sunken island.

Both story DLCs will be chopped up into 3 episodes, giving players a total of 6 episodes to look forward to. Legacy of the First Blade releases in December, with each episode releasing about 6 weeks after the last. The Fate of Atlantis will follow in the spring of 2019.

Aside from the additional content, Season Pass owners will also get Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered and Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered. Both games will feature 4K and HDR support plus a variety of graphical improvements on Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and PC.

Aside from the Season Pass content, Ubisoft will also be releasing free content for everyone. The Lost Tales of Greece will deliver episodic stories that feature quests with both new and familiar characters. Recurring in-game events that introduce new epic ships and mercenaries plus new mythical creatures for players to take down will be free for all as well. Finally, a New Game Plus mode will be added later on that will add new challenges and enable players to try out different choice paths.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set to launch on October 5th on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Those who pre-order the Gold Edition, Digital Ultimate Edition, Medusa Edition, Spartan Edition, or Pantheon Edition will get to play as early as October 2nd.
