Ubisoft just tied Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced to a real 500,000-dollar Caribbean treasure hunt, and the stunt makes its 59,99€ launch price harder to ignore.

On 13 May 2026, Ubisoft and Unsolved Hunts revealed Gold & Crystal for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, with IGN confirming the paid access packs and no required Black Flag knowledge. Ahead of its 9 July 2026 launch, Steam lists the game at 59,99€, which makes the pirate hype a real buyer question.

The hunt itself begins on 9 November 2026, and the fantasy is obvious. Ubisoft is not just selling another remaster pitch, it is asking players to imagine the pirate life spilling out of the screen.

That is the hook. The purchase requirement is separate. The treasure hunt uses separate Gold & Crystal access, and the sources do not say that owning Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is mandatory. But if this stunt makes you want to board the Jackdaw again, the official 59,99€ price is where the deal comparison becomes relevant.
