One week after its unexpected reporting delay, Ubisoft finally reveals its numbers — and the surprise isn’t a buyout but a hidden project set to launch before March 2026.

Ubisoft planning to release a new title in 2026!

Ubisoft has officially released its delayed semi-annual financial results, clarifying the reasons behind the suspension of its stock and ending speculation about a potential acquisition. Instead, the publisher confirms robust financial performance, internal restructuring, and the development of a secret title expected before the end of March 2026.

Ubisoft Posts Strong Growth Despite Reporting Delay

Ubisoft’s latest figures reveal €772 million in net bookings, up 20% year-on-year, driven by digital sales and player recurring investments. The second quarter alone delivered €491 million, outperforming expectations thanks to strong partnerships and solid catalog performance.

Following the removal of XDefiant, the company still maintains 34 million monthly active users and 88 million unique players over the semester. While slightly lower, this still reflects a stable and engaged community across its major franchises.

Internal Transformation Accelerates With Tencent Partnership

Ubisoft highlights key milestones in its ongoing restructuring, including the upcoming finalization of Tencent’s €1.3 billion investment in Vantage Studios. This move is expected to boost the studio’s development capabilities and reduce the group’s debt, now at €1.15 billion.

The company is also preparing a brand-new operational model built around Creative Houses, set to be presented in early 2026. This overhaul aims to modernize production pipelines and improve efficiency across major development hubs.

Cost-Reduction Plan Ahead of Targets

Ubisoft has already slashed €200 million in fixed costs — ahead of schedule — and is targeting at least €100 million more before fiscal year 2027. Staff reductions bring headcount slightly above 17,000 employees, approximately 1,500 fewer than the previous year.

Currency effects also contributed to a €69 million decrease in fixed costs during the first semester, offering additional financial relief as the company restructures.

A Mystery Game Coming Before March 31, 2026

Looking ahead, Ubisoft confirms its release slate for the fiscal year. The expansion Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes launches on December 19, followed by major mobile titles like Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence .More notably, the company confirms the arrival of an unannounced major game between January 1 and March 31, 2026

Speculation points toward the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake, though nothing is confirmed. A reveal may take place during The Game Awards. In addition, Ubisoft expects significant free cash flow during FY2027 as major franchises deliver new content. This includes potential releases such as Far Cry 7, the next Ghost Recon, new Assassin’s Creed entries, and the long-anticipated Splinter Cell remake.

In Conclusion

Ubisoft’s delayed results ultimately paint a picture of financial stability, strategic evolution, and an ambitious release roadmap. With a high-profile mystery game set to arrive before March 2026 and major franchises returning over the next two years, the publisher is clearly entering a pivotal phase.
