Upcoming Lovecraftian horror The Sinking City 2 has been delayed, after developer Frogwares announced it was now targeting the first half of 2026 for a release date.
Frogwares was hoping to launch The Sinking City 2 in 2025, but the developer has now pushed it back to early 2026 to ensure the upcoming survival horror is “at the quality” fans deserve.
The studio announced the delay in a Steam update post. In it, Frogwares provided work-in-progress screenshots and an interview with the developers on how the game is being built using Unreal Engine 5.

The developer also hopes that the extra time will help the studio to “refine” its first-ever survival horror. In the coming months, Frogwares wants to ensure “every system, every sound, and every shadow matters.”
