The Outer Worlds 2 may have got a trailer, but it told us nothing about what we can expect or when the game comes out.
In truth, the trailer for the game was a tongue-in-cheek look at how reveal and announcement trailers for games are done, and it’s pretty accurate and entertaining to watch.
It shows us a monster that is not in the final game, a beautiful forest, some wildlife, a vast desert landscape, the back of our hero, and the game’s title, but that’s it.
We don’t know if any of what was in the trailer is in the game or if it’s just one big joke.
We also don’t know where the game takes place or when the game will launch, and we don’t know any of the story.
All we have so far is a tweet from The Outer Worlds Twitter account stating that the game will take place in a new star system with a new crew.
And that’s everything we know, which is absolutely nothing.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE OUTER WORLDS 2?
Okay, there is one thing we know for sure. The game will launch for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC.
The Outer Worlds 2 will likely launch on the Xbox Game Pass on release, just as the first game did.
Rumors suggest that the game is still in its development stage, which means we can expect it to release in late 2022 or 2023.
For those wondering, it will not launch on the PlayStation consoles.
As for gameplay, we can expect the game to follow on from the last and be an RPG with deep customization options, attributes, and skills that create unique playstyles and a story that will change and evolve with your decisions.
We’re hoping that we see even more companions in, more worlds and locations to explore, and an even longer campaign, as the first seemed a little short with a completing time of around 12 hours.
Unfortunately, we may have to wait for E3 2022 to find out any more information on the game.
