The team at Nexon presents a new Cinematic Opening for their The First Berserker: Khazan. The action RPG set in the universe of Dungeon & Fighter will launch in 2025.

The First Berserker: Khazan is an action RPG set in the Dungeon & Fighter universe. Players will step into the shoes of General Khazan from the Pell Los Empire. Exiled and tortured, the hero Khazan returns to life, seeking truth and, above all, revenge.

Developed by the team at Neople, The First Berserker: Khazan delivers an intense revenge story with action RPG gameplay. Featuring 3D Cel Shading animation, adding a captivating style to this ambitious game from Nexon.


The First Berserker: Khazan – Cinematic Opening and Release Date Revealed

Nexon revealed the Cinematic Opening on 30 October 2024. This action-packed trailer shows the protagonist Khazan‘s backstory, blending high-quality animation and a dark fantasy tale in the Dungeon & Fighter (DNF) universe.

The First Berserker: Khazan will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in early 2025. Nexon announced it during The Game Awards in 2023, although fans have known the title as “Project BBQ” since 2018.

The First Berserker: Khazan – A New Chapter in the DNF Universe

The team at Neople brings an ambitious game set in the DNF universe. Originally launched as a beat ’em up series in 2005, the franchise saw the release of DNF Duel in 2022. The First Berserker marks the series’ first venture as a full-fledged ARPG, expanding its reach to a wider audience. This is similar to Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

Nexon has more news coming soon. With the recent Closed Beta ending on 20 October, an Open Beta may be on the horizon. Nexon will likely share further updates on The First Berserker: Khazan at The Game Awards 2024 in December.
