Terra Invicta is a science fiction grand strategy game which revolves around the appearance of hostile aliens arriving on Earth. This will divide humanity into different perspectives on how to defeat the threat. There will be seven factions which you will have to choose one per run.

First is The Assembly which believe in one global government; second, The Protectorate which believe in military actions; third, The Syndicate which sees the event as an economic opportunity; fourth, The Initiative which believe humanity needs to transcend its physical form to survive; fifth, The Resistance who will fight at all costs; sixth, The Servants which believe submission is the way to survive; and seventh, Humanity First which purges the alien threat and preserves human purity.


Terra

The game will split into two largely separated, yet interconnected parts. The first part is a geopolitical simulation on Earth where the factions fight for influence in Earth’s nations through espionage and military actions, research and development, and industrialization.

The other part of the game focuses on space where you will build fleets, explore the solar system, and fight the aliens. The space map is constantly shifting as celestial bodies orbit the Sun which creates a dynamic and challenging strategic environment.

Terra Invicta was released on Early Access on September 26, 2022 for PC via Steam.




Where to play Terra Invicta for free?

If you have an active Game Pass subscription, you can start playing Terra Invicta for free starting today, March 26, 2024. It is available only for Game Pass PC as it does not have a console version yet.

Terra Invicta marks the 2nd game this month to enter the service via the Game Preview program, with the first being Lightyear Frontier. If you’re new to GP, Game Preview basically means Early Access.

While this was very rare, almost unheard of in the past years, the first EA title to join Game Pass was blockbuster hit Palworld. Since then, the service is more open to adding titles in this status as we’ve seen this month.
