Tekken 8 Demo: Play First on PS5 Before Xbox and Steam

Throw down in the new Tekken 8 demo ahead of Bandai Namco’s 3D fighter’s release in January. Play it first on PS5 and this weekend on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.

IS TEKKEN 8 DEMO ONLINE?

Sony users can now get a Tekken 8 demo download key by heading to the PlayStation Store on their PS5 and choosing “Add to Library.” Those on Xbox Series X|S and PC must wait until December 21, when the Tekken 8 demo becomes available.

Unfortunately, the Tekken 8 demo is offline only, meaning no online play against other players. However, you can jump into various game modes before it fully releases.

WHAT MODES WILL TEKKEN 8 HAVE? DOES TEKKEN 8 HAVE STORY MODE?

The Tekken 8 demo may be missing online play, but there are still five game modes you can play in the demo.

• The Dark Awakens Chapter 1 – Unravel the Mysteries: Kazuya is wreaking havoc with his G Corporation and his son Jin Kazama is the only one that can stop him. The Dark Awakens Chapter 1 reveals what happens.
• Arcade Quest – Conquer Challenges: Play through Tekken 8 Chapter 1 challenges – adjusted for the demo.
• Super Ghost Battle – Ghostly Showdown: Ready for otherworldly showdowns? Prepare for supernatural fights to the death.
• Versus Mode: Jin, Kazuya, Paul, and Nina are playable characters in Urban Square, Yakushima, and Sanctum stages.
• Gallery – Relive Tekken’s Epic Moments: Relive iconic moments from Tekken to Tekken 7, and find out what makes the Tekken universe so special.

HOW TO PLAY TEKKEN 8 DEMO: PS5, XBOX SERIES X|S AND STEAM

After its closed beta, the Tekken 8 demo is available now on PS5, and those who want to download it on Xbox Series X|S and Steam have to wait until December 21.
