Take-Two Interactive’s recent financial report included their plans for the coming financial year. In one of their presentation slides, the company listed their long-term goals on video game releases across different categories (Immersive Core, Mobile, Independent, Mid Core, and New iterations of prior releases).

Remastered games and ports fall under “New iterations of prior releases,” and as seen on the slide above, the company did not list any specific games as they haven’t announced anything as of this report. We do, however, see that 8 games will be remastered and released within the FY 2023 – FY 2025 period.

As with games that could possibly be the next ones to be remastered, the original Red Dead Redemption game has been on top of gamers’ minds. There’s also talks of them remastering the 2006 game Bully.

In 2021, Take-Two Interactive released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition which consists of remastered Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Fans of the GTA series actually looked forward to this, but their expectations were crushed when they met a half-baked remastered collection of bugs and performance issues.

The company also got caught in rumors that it could be the next one to own the FIFA license after it parted ways with EA.

In a statement through IGN, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said, “We’re definitely interested in expanding our opportunities in sports, and FIFA has a great brand and incredible clout, but we have no current plans to discuss.”
