Goichi Suda officially confirmed that Travis Touchdown will return to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the No More Heroes franchise in 2027. Grasshopper Manufacture is currently collaborating with intellectual property owner Marvelous Entertainment to develop a special project commemorating the original 2007 Nintendo Wii release.

In a recent Famitsu interview, Suda51 explicitly stated that the beam katana-wielding assassin is definitely coming back. This announcement revises his 2022 stance, where the director labeled No More Heroes 3 as the absolute final battle for the character.
