Stellar Blade a Massive Success on PC – Are Xbox and Switch 2 Next?
Stellar Blade first debuted in April 2024 as a PlayStation exclusive. The game is an action title featuring stunning graphics. In 2025, the developers at Shift Up decided to port the game to PC, offering high technical optimization and additional content such as new costumes and boss fights. This move attracted many new players, and there is now hope that the game will expand to even more platforms.
Current Status – Available Platforms and Technical Features
Originally, Stellar Blade was released for the PlayStation 5. There, the game enjoyed strong technical performance with high graphical quality and significant success at launch. On June 11, 2025, the game was released for PC via Steam and Epic Games. This version supports NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR3, ultrawide resolutions, and unlocked frame rates.
The PC port also introduced new content, including 25 new costumes and an extra boss fight. These additions were subsequently released as a free update for the PS5 version. On Steam, the game was a massive success, reaching over 192,000 concurrent players on launch day. Furthermore, the game sold more than one million copies within its first 24 hours.
Future Outlook – Potential New Platforms for Stellar Blade
Developer Shift Up recently stated that they are exploring a platform expansion “beyond PS5 and PC” with the aim of increasing their reach. Specifically, this means Stellar Blade could potentially be released for Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch 2. While a concrete announcement is still pending, Shift Up’s wording has opened the door for releases on competing consoles. This would not only allow Stellar Blade to reach more players but also prepare for the transition to Stellar Blade 2 and the establishment of a long-term IP.
