State of Play 2022: Best PlayStation Show Ever?

Sony’s State of Play 2022 event was only thirty minutes long, and yet it could be the best PlayStation show ever as we take a look at the highlights.

STATE OF PLAY 2022 RECAP

Sony’s State of Play event was short but was a huge success as we got to see what Sony and PlayStation are working on right now.

The Callisto Protocol, from the creator of Dead Space, Glen Schofield, finally got a release date.

Releasing on December 2, the survival horror game will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC.

One of my favorite post-apocalyptic game series, Horizon, will get a PSVR 2 game called Horizon Call of the Mountain, which will take the franchise first-person.

Upcoming adventure game Stray also received a release date for PC, PS4, and PS5.

Stray is set in a neon-lit dystopia in which you play as a stray cat in an emotionally-driven story, and you can finally play the game on July 19.

Resident Evil 4 is finally getting a remake, but you will have to wait until March 24, 2023, to get it on PS5.

Resident Evil Village was a smash-hit at launch, and you can jump back into it and relive those terrifying moments on PSVR 2 in the near future.

Sticking with PSVR 2, No Man’s Sky is launching onto PSVR 2 soon, and Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2 is coming to the platform soon.

Street Fighter 6 is coming to PS4 and PS5 in 2023, and the roster will include Jamie, Luke, Ryu, and of course, Chun Li.

Season: A Letter to the Future is a new game from Scavengers Studio and will launch in Autumn 2022.

PlayStation owners will get the fantastic adventure game, Tunic on September 27.

Oh, and Final Fantasy 16 is confirmed, and it will arrive in summer 2023, as Square Enix released a trailer featuring Ifrit, Shiva, and Ramuh.

State of Play 2022 showed off some incredible games, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings.
