Space Marine 2 Patch 11 Rolls Out, Adds New Operation, Bosses, and More
Saber Interactive has rolled out Space Marine 2 Patch 11.0, introducing a massive injection of content and critical balance fixes to the third-person shooter’s co-op PvE experience.
Headlining Space Marine 2 Patch 11 is Operation Reclamation, a brand-new off-world PvE mission set aboard a damaged Imperial cruiser infested with Tyranids, culminating in an intense confrontation with the new Tyranid bosses, Tyranid Prime.
Beyond the additional PvE content, Patch 11 introduces substantial quality-of-life improvements and gameplay changes, including all-new Heroic gear to unlock, class-specific buffs, and new customization options.
Operation Reclamation: New PvE Map and Double Boss Threat
The new Reclamation Operation tasks a squad of Space Marines with boarding an imperial cruiser in orbit above Avarax in a desperate fight to the death to purge it of the Tyrnaid threat. Unlike previous missions, in Reclamation, objectives shift as the mission unfolds, offering a unique twist to the map.
At the end of the new PvE mission, players will face two powerful xenos enemies, the Tyranid Prime, in a final encounter that tests the limits of even the most veteran of squads, before players dash to escape the ship before it explodes.
Patch 11: Heroic Weapons and Class Balance Changes
Patch 11 introduces a wave of new Heroic weapons and armor pieces, including the highly anticipated Storm’s Dominion Thunder Hammer and new tactical equipment like the Sanctified Wrath, which provides a temporary melee damage increase and immunity to knockback.
Additionally, there are balance changes to almost every class. Assault can now utilize the new Jump Pack Dash attacks for faster, more responsive melee, while the Grapnel Launcher for Vanguard will now scale its damage based on difficulty, and the Bulwark’s Emergency Countermeasure perk has had its cooldown reduced to 45 seconds from 90.
Furthermore, players can now equip new aesthetics with the Blood Angels Champion and Salamanders Cosmetic Packs, which come as part of the new Season Pass content. Players can also customize their Chaos classes using armor parts from sets.
