Ubisoft has canceled three unannounced games and once again delayed Skull and Bones.
After posting poor financial figures from the most recent quarter, Ubisoft announced the cancellation of three games with what they call “major challenges” in the industry.
To increase “cautiousness over the coming years,” Ubisoft has pulled the plug on the unnamed games after canceling four others just last July.
As Ubisoft reshuffles funds to departments and restructures its focus, it also announced another delay to the upcoming pirate game Skull and Bones.
The decision to delay Skull and Bones again has been met with disbelief within the fanbase, but Ubisoft claims it will allow for a “much more polished and balanced experience.”
Ubisoft has yet to give an exact release date for Skull and Bones and only revealed it will launch in the fiscal year 2023-2024.
