Sekiro Shadows Die Twice

FromSoftware has just released a new trailer for Sekiro Shadows Die Twice that focuses on the protagonist’s backstory. In it, we see a war-torn Japan and the fateful meeting that brought student and master together.

In the trailer, the nameless protagonist is seen as a child in the middle of what appears to be the aftermath of a recent battle. A swordsman called the Owl finds the boy and points his sword at the child’s face. But instead of fleeing, the boy grabs the tip of the blade. The Owl seems moved as he beckons the boy to come with him.

The trailer doesn’t reveal much, but it does a great job of teasing the relationship between the protagonist and his master. It’s also obvious that a lot has happened between the two since they first met, especially with what the Owl says about his apprentice in the closing seconds of the trailer.

FromSoftware has also revealed the system requirements for those who prefer to enjoy the brutal adventure on PC. You’ll be glad to know that the game won’t require a hardcore rig to give you a hardcore experience. Here’s what you’ll need under the hood:
