SEGA MEGA DRIVE 2 MINI ANNOUNCED
The Sega Mega Drive, or Sega Genesis if you’re in America, is one of history’s most-beloved consoles.
And now, Sega is releasing the Sega Mega Drive 2 Mini later this year, which comes with 50 games from the Mega Drive and Mega CD.
Sega Mega Drive 2 Mini Confirmed Games:
Mega Drive:
- Bonanza Bros.
- Fantasy Zone
- Magical Taruruuto-kun
- Shining in the Darkness
- Thunder Force IV
- Virtua Racing
Mega CD:
- Mansion of Hidden Souls
- Popful Mail
- Shining Force CD
- Silpheed
- Sonic the Hedgehog CD
This isn’t Sega’s first attempt at releasing Mega Drive games to a new generation of fans, as the Sega Mega Drive Mini was released in 2019.
The Mega Drive Mini, unfortunately, suffered from input lag, audio delay, and a few other issues, which many will hope are ironed out for the Sega Mega Drive 2 Mini console.
If you’re old enough to remember the golden era of gaming or want some retro games to play, the Sega Mega Drive 2 Mini looks to be an unmissable release.
The Sega Mega Drive 2 Mini will launch on October 27 in Japan, with no confirmed European or American release date.
