Sand Land Free Demo Now Available: Explore Akira Toriyama’s Desert RPG
Sand Land is a new title coming from Bandai Namco Entertainment and is based on the manga of the same name written in 2000 by the legendary Akira Toriyama, who recently passed away prematurely. On 19th March , Bandai decided to release a demo dedicated to the new game, ahead of the official launch scheduled for 26th April 2024, on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The Story of Sand Land and Gameplay
As mentioned, Sand Land is based on the manga written by Toriyama, serialized in the famous Shonen Jump magazine over 14 editions. Sand Land follows more of the classic style, focusing on adventure and featuring Toriyama’s caricatured yet endearing characters, akin to his earlier works like Dr. Slump and the early volumes of Dragon Ball. Sand Land takes place in a utopian future of Toriyama’s universe, where the world has become a vast desert. Belzebub, the protagonist and the Demon Prince, sets out accompanied by Thief and Sheriff Rao in search of a water source, the Legendary Spring, to save their village and solve the water scarcity problem. They also aim to challenge the local tyrant who controls the water resources, indiscriminately targeting both demons and humans.
In a story where the young demon encounters new characters and seeks to fulfill his dream of seeing humans and demons form an alliance as equals. We will also have action-packed gameplay aboard powerful Mecha, all customizable to help us traverse the desert, inhabited by fierce enemies and obstacles.
Sand Land: The Demo and the Best Price on the Full Game
The demo has been available since 19th March on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, covering a more open portion of the game. Playing as Belzebub, we can already explore part of the map, try not only melee combat but also use Mecha, tanks, and motorcycles to move around.
