March is shaping up to be a defining month for Thunderful Publishing. The publisher is preparing to drop two heavy hitters back-to-back, catering to completely different ends of the indie spectrum.
If you are a Game Pass subscriber, this is essentially an early holiday season. But if even if you are not Thunderful is offering an amazing chance to try them both!
Planet of Lana 2 and Replaced: Try Before You Buy
You don’t have to wait until March to get a taste of the action. Thunderful has confirmed that demos for both titles are deploying today February 11.
For Planet of Lana 2, the demo hits a wide range of hardware: Xbox One, Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Nintendo Switch users will have to wait a bit longer. REPLACED, however, remains a bit more exclusive for now. The trial version for this cyberpunk thriller is currently locked to PC only.

Planet of Lana 2: A Safe, Beautiful Return
It has been two years since the original game charmed us with its silence. The sequel doesn’t seem interested in reinventing the wheel, but rather refining the journey.
The story picks up with Lana and her companion Mui facing a new threat. This time, the danger isn’t just invading machines, but an internal struggle among tribes corrupted by greed.
The gameplay loop remains strictly cooperative. You control Lana directly, while issuing context-sensitive commands to Mui. The demo itself is surprisingly brief—a collection of micro-sections rather than a cohesive level. It assumes you already know the mechanics, offering little in the way of tutorials.
If you loved the first game, this appears to be a solid “more of the same” experience. Expect about 6-8 hours of gorgeous, painted visuals and light puzzle-solving.
REPLACED: Visceral 80s Cyberpunk
On the other end of the spectrum is REPLACED, a title that trades painted landscapes for gritty, high-fidelity pixel art. You play as R.E.A.C.H., an AI trapped unwillingly inside a human body in a post-nuclear 1980s America.
The narrative hook is unique: the AI hates the biological limitations of its new vessel, from pain to bathroom breaks.
The gameplay is a mix of cinematic platforming and brutal combat. It flows like a 2.5D side-scroller with a strict linear path—don’t expect a Metroidvania here. Combat is simple but incredibly heavy. With just attack, parry, and dodge commands, the fights feel visceral. Enemies react realistically to impacts, and the finishing moves are suitably bloody.
It captures a bleak atmosphere perfectly, blending Blade Runner neon with the gray oppression of the Eastern Bloc. It’s stylish, violent, and narrative-heavy.
Launch Dates and Platforms
You won’t have to wait long to play the full versions. Planet of Lana II arrives on March 5, followed closely by REPLACED on March 12.
Both titles are hitting Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass immediately.
