Rematch Has Crossplay But No Cross Progression, Sloclap Says ‘No Plans’ For It
Rematch’s third major update brings long-awaited crossplay and key improvements, but cross-progression is still not included.
Rematch has just received its third major update, and it finally delivers the most requested feature since before launch: crossplay. While the game was originally planned to ship with it, Sloclap had to delay the feature. Now, the wait is over as crossplay is officially supported. Cross-progression, however, is still off the table.
Rematch Now Has Crossplay But No Cross Progression
Sloclap’s third major update introduces a host of improvements including better mouse and keyboard settings, new accessibility options, optimized graphics, and bug fixes. The headline feature, though, is crossplay which players have been eagerly waiting for, for the past two months.
When it comes to cross-progression though, Sloclap has made it clear there are no current plans to implement it. In a mini dev update released yesterday, the team explained: “There are no plans to implement cross-platform progression at this time, meaning your progress on one platform will not carry over to another. You will be able to toggle crossplay as you wish, though we encourage you to keep it enabled for faster matchmaking queues.”
Alongside clarifying cross-progression, the update also introduces a new in-game player reporting system. This replaces the older process of submitting reports through email or Discord, making it much easier for players to flag issues directly within the game.
