RedRuins Softworks’ New Game Canyons Promises Base-Building, Loot & Chaos
HypeTrain Digital and the RedRuins Softworks team officially re-announce Canyons, the co-op third-person shooter adventure in a desert world!
Canyons is the new third-person shooter from the development team at RedRuins Softworks. A Russian indie team founded in 2017 with the debut of the first Breathedge. A wacky space adventure blending crafting and survival, published by HypeTrain Digital. A sequel has also been announced for it, scheduled for launch in Q1 2026. With Canyons, initially revealed during IGN Live 2024, bringing an action-packed adventure in a ruined world dominated by sand and dangers.

Canyons: The new action-adventure from RedRuins Softworks revealed
Initially revealed in 2024 during IGN Live, the RedRuins Softworks team and publisher HypeTrain Digital are dropping new info on Canyons. The third-person co-op shooter experience from the dev team behind the Breathedge series.
Bringing a new short but intense teaser of the desert adventure. Where alone or with friends (up to 4 players) we’ll face the world of The Canyons. A world once rich with water and life, now reduced to a ruined world of deserts and creatures known as the Awakened. Where it’s up to us to save what’s left of the planet.
What the new Co-op PvE experience from RedRuins offers
Canyons is shaping up to be a 4-player co-op PvE experience with loot, base building, and exploration. Dropping us into a procedurally generated desert world as one of the members of the Order of the Double Cross. Survivors of the planet whose Crusaders have learned to use the Sacred Blood Pacts and the powers of the Awakened.
Where the Awakened are both living and non-living entities that brought ruin to the world. We’ll be fighting creatures and crazed heretics to save the planet. This new reveal also brings the official Steam page for the game. Confirming more details and news are coming soon. Although the team is mainly focused on the launch of Breathedge 2, scheduled for the first half of 2026.
