Since the game’s release at the end of October 2018 on Playstation and Xbox consoles, as well as on PC in December 2019, prices on the official platforms have changed only slightly.
Indeed on the Playstation Store, the PS4/PS5 versions’ current price is almost identical to its release day price: 59.99€ / $59.99
For PC, the Epic Games and Steam stores don’t show much change either, even if on some occasions and events there were interesting promos (Steam Winter Sales, Black Friday, Summer Sales).
Microsoft is also following this rule for its console with an offer in line with the recommended retail price on the Xbox One version’s release day.
This did not prevent the game from selling over 45 million copies!*
Fortunately, in the download key market, prices have dropped significantly. Red Dead Redemption 2 PC is currently up to 70% cheaper!
