Pokémon Presents: Everything Announced During Pokémon Day 2024

Happy Pokémon Day 2024 trainers! To celebrate the day, The Pokémon Company has held its first Pokémon Presents of 2024 and below is everything that was announced during the event.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Mighty Gen 1 Pokémon

The Pokémon Company treated us to plenty of Pokémon news during the Pokémon Presents February 2024 event, which also happened to take place on the 28th anniversary of the release of Pokémon Red and Green in Japan, which launched on February 27, 1996.

To celebrate the landmark, players can take part in an all new Tera Raid event Pokémon Scarlet and Violet where they can catch the final evolutions of the Gen 1 starting Pokémon from Red and Green.

• Mighty Venusaur: February 28 – March 5
• Mighty Blastoise: March 6-12
• Mighty Charizard: March 13-19

Note that you can only catch one of each of the Mighty Pokémon, and completing the raids multiple times will result in other rewards.

Pokémon Horizons and Pokémon Go Event

In case you missed it, Pokémon Horizons: The Series hits Netflix March 7, and to celebrate that event, the anime series and Pokémon Go are collaborating to add to Pokémon Go. You can also grab Pikachu wearing Cap’s Hat during the event.

The Pokémon Go x Pokémon Horizons: The Series event runs from March 5 and ends on March 11.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Release Date

In what can only come with the collective response of “what took them so long?!” The Pokémon Trading Card Game or Pokémon TCG will finally launch on mobile on iOS and Android in 2024. Officially called Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, the game will let you take your digital cards wherever you go, with two digital packs free to open every day.

What Is Pokémon Legends Z-A?

It’s official, there’s a new Pokémon Legends game coming. Titled Pokémon Legends Z-A, the game will take players to Lumiose City in the Kalos Region from Pokémon X and Y and is what the developers are calling an “ambitious new entry to the Pokémon video game series.

The trailer only gave us a glimpse into it and nothing more. But we know that it will be released simultaneously worldwide in 2025.
