Sony has officially announced the Essential games for September which all members from all tiers can download for free. And for next month, subscribers are yet again offered a basket full of highly-rated games.

First off the list and the headliner of the lineup is Psychonauts 2, which is actually initially published by Xbox. Mixing humor, intrigue, and cinematic storytelling from legendary designer Tim Schafer, the game lets players dive into minds to battle inner demons, solve puzzles, and uncover hidden memories, all while mastering some psychic powers and enjoying inventive, acrobatic platforming. This award-winning game still has a big price tag so grabbing it while it’s free is a no brainer.

The second is another highly-rated game, Stardew Valley. We’ve seen the game in a few free game promos but if missed out on those and have ps plus, now is your chance. This farming RPG that lets you grow crops, raise animals, mine for resources, fish, and craft was initially launched in 2016 but has had major new features since then. So while the age may put you off, it was updated to be enjoyed by modern gamers.

Lastly but definitely not the least is Viewfinder, the youngest of the lot. This first-person puzzle adventure lets you reshape reality by bringing photos, paintings, and drawings to life within the world. As you explore its mysterious environments, you’ll uncover secrets, solve puzzles, and piece together why the world exists. It’s both a relaxing experience for those who simply want to play and a deeper, thought-provoking journey for those eager to explore its rich mysteries.

These games will be available to download starting September 2nd.
