The clock is ticking for one more game in the Battlefield franchise. Battlefield Hardline is officially heading toward delisting and server shutdown on consoles in Summer 2026. While this kind of announcement has become increasingly common in the industry, it still hits a bit differently when it’s actually announced.

 

EA Pulls the Plus on Battlefield Hardline Console Versions

By now, we’re used to delisting and server shutdown announcements especially coming from EA. The latest to get the axe is Battlefield Hardline which was released in 2015. So yes, it didn’t come as a total surprise as the game will be 11 years old by the time it’s put in the vault.

Luckily, the game isn’t online-only, so those who already own it will still be able to play through the single-player campaign. While the multiplayer aspect is the best part of BF games, it’s still better than losing access to the game entirely.

   

According to the official announcement, Battlefield Hardline console versions will be delisted on May 22, 2026, meaning the base game and all DLCs will no longer be available for purchase after that date. Then, on June 22, 2026, online services will officially shut down.

To reiterate, this applies only to console versions. The PC version is not affected for now. But since the notice specifically frames this as “today’s update,” leaves the door open for possible changes later on.
