PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been banning up to 13,000 players every day. This was according to BattlEye, the anti-cheat program responsible for keeping PUBG’s community in check.

BattlEye recently took to Twitter with the revelation and even mentioned that they had banned nearly 20,000 players in the last 24 hours (from the time of tweeting). Apparently, majority of those banned hail from China, which may be related to the recent spike in new players from the said country.

BattlEye also revealed that over 322,000 cheaters have already been banned. This means that the number of banned players has more than doubled since PlayerUnknown tweeted a month ago that banned accounts had already reached 150,000.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been enjoying great success with sales now exceeding 15 million copies. It also recently broke the all-time record for concurrent players on Steam, reaching over 2 million players. An Xbox One version is also in the works, while a PS4 version still seems possible. With such milestones, it makes sense why many consider it to be the most popular PC game today (despite being in Early Access).

With the continued growth of the game’s playerbase, it shouldn’t be surprising that cheaters will also continue to find their way into the online shooter. So, BattlEye will have to continue to do their part to keep the game enjoyable for everyone else.

Are you surprised with the numbers shown? Happy with how PUBG and BattlEye have been dealing with cheaters? Still on waiting for the game to officially launch? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
