The other way to play Eternal Strands for free is with the demo currently live on Steam. It’s actually a prologue demo since it contains a part of the full version, and any saved data will be carried over.
This limited-time demo lets players dive into the early parts of the game, exploring two areas of The Enclave while engaging with the crafting system. You’ll get to try all three base weapon types (Sword & Shield, Bow & Arrow, and Two-Hander) and experiment with a selection of magical spells. The demo also features encounters with smaller enemies and up to three types of the game’s colossal “Epics,” giving you a taste of the dynamic combat and exploration. With no strict time limit, it can take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours to complete, depending on how you approach the gameplay.
The demo also comes with accessibility options including adjustable difficulty, motion blur settings, and colorblind modes, and supports multiple languages like English, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and German.
