Planet Crafter is a game where you have to make an uninhabitable planet livable. Developed by the French indie studio Miju Games, you are sent to a barren planet as a convict. Your task is to terraform it to a point where it becomes habitable for humans.
This is an open-world sandbox survival game. You can freely explore the planet and discover a variety of biomes. From these, you’ll need to collect resources to build both equipment and structures. Through terraforming, you’ll drastically change the planet. Over time, water and even plants will start to appear.

The free Planet Crafter Moons Update lets you terraform two new moons: Selena and Aqualis. This becomes possible once you’ve fully terraformed either Prime or Humble (depending on your starting point). After that, with the new travel rocket and launch/landing platform, you can travel to one of the moons. If you already have a save file with a completed planet, you can go straight to the moon from there.
Alternatively, you can start a new game directly on Selena. However, the developers recommend against this unless you’re an experienced player, as it’s quite difficult. You can also transport resources from your terraformed planet to another using the new shuttle system, making it much easier to get started on the new moons.
The new update also brings new items, materials, and tools. For example, there’s now Quartz and the Quartz Crafter to go with it. You’ll also find a new T2 Rocket Engine, a T7 Backpack, a T5 Oxygen Tank, a T5 Jetpack, and much more. You can find all the details here.
The New Moons in Detail
The two moons, Selena and Aqualis, are fundamentally different. Selena is a very cold moon, so you’ll face icy landscapes, a wide variety of resources, and new challenges.
