Overwatch 2: When Does the Beta Release?

Overwatch 2 was delayed last year by Blizzard Entertainment, but we may be playing it sooner than we think. So, when does the beta start?

HAS OVERWATCH 2 BETA DATE LEAKED?

As Activision Blizzard prepares for life under Microsoft, it seems the company’s development of Overwatch 2 is ramping up ahead of a possible release date.

Last year, Blizzard announced that Overwatch 2 would be delayed, along with Diablo IV.

However, Blizzard did confirm that Overwatch League 2022 will use an early Overwatch 2 build.

Overwatch League 2022 begins in April 2022 and so expecting a possible Overwatch 2 beta release in the coming months would not be too far-fetched.

Supporting this idea, Twitter user Helba_The_AI tweeted a picture of a new Overwatch Dev version which found itself on Battle.net.

The new Overwatch Dev version updated the game from 1.68 to 2.0 before Blizzard took the version down again.

OverwatchCaval also tweeted a picture that seemed to confirm the 2.0 version of Overwatch, along with a new Overwatch Demo 2.

Although Blizzard is yet to confirm an Overwatch 2 release date or beta, it seems everything is pointing towards a launch in the coming weeks.
