Nova Roma, the new city-building game from Lion Shield and Hooded Horse, is finally launching today. After a two-month delay, the game is now ready to make its Early Access debut on Steam and Xbox Game Pass.

The day has come for Nova Roma to make its Early Access launch. The game was initially supposed to release in January but with valuable feedback from its demo, the dev team had to delay it. But now, the green light is still on so we’re good to go.

Nova Roma launches today on early access March 26, 2026 at 11AM PT / 2PM ET / 6PM GMT.

Apart from Steam, the game also launches day-one on Xbox Game Pass for Ultimate and PC members. As usual, Premium subscribers will have to wait a few months (or even until full release) before it finds its way to its library.

Nova Roma is the second of only 2 day-one launches in the service this month. It is worth noting though that while this is the case, the March 2026 lineup is stacked with incredible games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Disco Elysium. But then again, the month isn’t over yet, maybe we’ll get some shadow drop today at Xbox Partner Preview.
