From controversy to release, Palworld is marching through despite legal challenges. Nintendo’s widely famous lawsuit against Pocketpair is not stopping this breakthrough title from moving forward. In fact, it is scheduled to release its v1.0 next year.
Pocketpair Announced Palworld 1.0 To Release in 2026
Palworld initially launched in January 2024 for PC and Xbox consoles. It then made its way to Playstation in September of the same year. Since then, it had 5 major updates including Feybreak Island, crossplay, more pals, and the latest, Tides of Terraria.
Like many early access titles, continuous update doesn’t necessarily mean it’s closer to making its way out for a full release. But luckily, Palworld isn’t one of them. Pocketpair’s Communications Director and Publishing Manager, Bucky, has officially announced that the game will be releasing its v1.0 in 2026.

We are currently developing a massive amount of content for this milestone, and also planning some surprises for the rest of 2025.

According to the announcement, the studio will be focusing on fixing and polishing “a lot of quirks and jank”. So no major update will be deployed until full release but he did say too that they are working on some surprises for the rest of the year, specifically for the winter update.
Furthermore, Bucky also shared the launch of Pocketpair Publishing which aims to help other developers and studios with their games through funding, marketing, and distribution.
No exact release date has been mentioned for Palworld’s full release.
