Nightmare Kart has finally got an official release date after the developer revealed its trailer. Find out more about the game and when you can play below.

Nightmare Kart Release Date

What is Nightmare Kart?

Nightmare Kart, formerly known as Bloodborne Kart, has an official release date and new trailer as developer Lilith Walther revealed the newly “legally distinct” free-to-play racer will launch in May.

Initially planned for a launch in January, the kart racer was delayed due to the name change from Bloodborne Kart. However, the delay hasn’t been all bad, as it has resulted in more content being available from day one.

In a post on X, the developer confirmed the game will feature 20 racers, 16 maps, and a full campaign with boss fights.

For anyone unfamiliar with the game, it is a follow-up to the fan-made BloodbornePSX from the same developer, a “demake” of FromSoftware’s PlayStation-exclusive action RPG that turns the game into a retro-style game complete with polygons.

Nightmare Kart is for anyone wanting Bloodborne or Dark Souls to be a kart racer – which is all of us. It will be released on May 31 and is free to play on Steam and Itch.io.
