Bethesda is trying to reach more would-be demon slayers with a brand new TV commercial for Doom Eternal. It’s definitely quite the letdown compared to the usual trailers we see online, but that’s to be expected since it’s meant for national TV. I mean you can’t be maiming and beheading demons when there could be children watching.

Still, the lack of action is compensated by rare looks at Doomguy in third-person. We also see a few of the hellspawn we’ll be taking on in the sequel, plus a glimpse of the mysteries red glowing sword that we can’t wait to swing at demon necks.

Here’s the full TV commercial:

It’s now less than a month from the game’s release, barring any further delays of course. id Software has not announced whether the game has gone gold or not, but all recent footage we’ve seen so far looks as polished as we can hope the game to be. Hopefully, they just chose not to announce that the game has already been completed.

Doom Eternal is set to launch on March 20th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. A Switch port should follow shortly after.
