New Battlefield Game Already In Development

EA and DICE are already developing a new Battlefield game, according to reports, and we’ve got the details.

Battlefield 2042 only recently launched to scathing reviews, but EA and DICE are already reportedly working on the next Battlefield title.

In a recent blog post, industry Insider Tom Henderson said that Battlefield 2042 is regarded “as a miss” inside EA and DICE.

According to Henderson, his sources say that the new Battlefield game is in pre-production and that the team has learned “valuable lessons” from Battlefield 2042.

In his blog, Henderson says EA and DICE will be “reverting a lot of changes” they made in Battlefield 2042.

Some believe this refers to the 128-player map size and decision to change the class system into specialists.

Reportedly, the majority of DICE are now working on the new game but BF 2042 is not completely abandoned just yet.

DICE is already committed to releasing four specialists and battle passes for BF 2042, with one map already slated for a summer release.

EA and DICE are yet to announce the new Battlefield game, but Henderson says it is set in the modern-day or near future.
