NVIDIA to Launch Its Own Resizable BAR Support
Another exciting feature announced was NVIDIA’s move to improve performance gains due to resizable BAR support.
AMD was the first to support the feature with their Smart Access Memory, which provides their processors direct access to the GPU memory to avoid I/O bottlenecks.
NVIDIA announced that they are now working alongside both Intel and AMD to make this feature available for more motherboards by the end of 2021.
NVIDIA Cards to Get Resizable BAR In February
In a separate blog post from CES 2021, NVIDIA announced that resizable BAR support would come with the release of the GeForce RTX 3060 in February.
To benefit from the feature, you will need a motherboard, graphics card, and graphics driver that supports it.
