MICROSOFT FOCUSES ON XBOX SERIES X|S AND STOPS MAKING XBOX ONE GAMES
Microsoft has confirmed it is no longer making Xbox One games and is instead focusing on the Xbox Series X|S as they move completely on from the previous generation of consoles.
In a recent interview with Axios, Xbox Game Studio chief Matt Booty revealed they have “moved on to Gen 9” and have no internal teams working on first-party Xbox One games.
The Xbox One has not been completely abandoned, as teams are still working on patches and updates for the console to support upcoming third-party games.
There is no need to panic just yet if you’re yet to upgrade to the Xbox Series X|S, as you can continue to play on your Xbox One, and you can always stream Xbox Series X|S games if needed.
