Wrestling a car through a hairpin turn while the asphalt turns to ice is a terrifying thrill. Assetto Corsa Rally just captured that exact feeling with its massive 0.3 update.
The early access simulator is raising the stakes with some serious new content. It brings the unforgiving roads of Monte Carlo directly to your rig. This isn’t just a simple track pack. Supernova Games and Kunos Simulazioni have delivered entirely new weather dynamics that completely change the way the cars handle.
Laser-Scanned Legends
The highlight here is the fully laser-scanned Monte Carlo Rally. It features two distinct and brutal stages totaling 31 kilometers of pure technical driving.
First up is the Col de Turini. This 18-kilometer monster is defined by relentless elevation changes and a near-constant sequence of tight hairpins. One mistake on these narrow alpine roads will ruin your suspension.
Then there’s Sisteron. It’s a faster, 13-kilometer route with wide, flowing corners and high-speed sections that test your braking confidence. You have to trust your pace notes entirely when attacking these crests.
Dynamic Snow and Ice
The real star of this update is the new dynamic weather system. The developers introduced a mechanic where snow and ice form organically on the stage. If it rains and the temperature drops below zero, snow starts accumulating. The temperature shifts naturally based on your altitude and the time of day.
This means you can start a stage on dry tarmac, climb into a blizzard, and descend back into the sun. To survive this, you now have access to studded winter tires. You can even mix and match compounds between the front and rear axles to balance your grip.

For the first time ever, we’re finally delivering a fully laser scanned Monte-Carlo Rally to the sim racing community, including two stages, the Skoda Fabia RS Rally 2, the Lancia Fulvia Coupe HF and several game improvements…
Two Distinct Eras of Rally
To tackle the French Alps, the garage expands with two heavily requested machines.
The 2022 SKODA Fabia RS Rally2 brings modern AWD aggression. Its 1.6-liter turbo engine pushes 289 HP to all four wheels, giving it incredible bite off the line. For historic racing fans, the 1970 Lancia Fulvia Coupe HF is a pure FWD classic. Its narrow-angle V4 engine delivers up to 130 HP.
Both cars feel completely distinct, especially with the reworked force feedback and updated pneumatic trail models included in the patch.
Surviving the French Alps
Update 0.3 transforms the sim from a promising early access title into a genuinely intimidating driving experience. The unpredictable grip levels on Turini demand absolute precision and focus. Mixing tire compounds to survive a dynamic blizzard adds a fantastic layer of strategy before you even drop the clutch.
Keep your steering inputs smooth, listen to your co-driver, and watch the temperature gauge!
