While 4A Games was founded in 2006, the Ukrainian developer published its first game, Metro 2033, based on the book of Dmitry Glukhovsky of the same name, in March 2010, with the FPS pushing boundaries for its dark and politically-charged anti-war narrative.
In a post to fans, the studio states its pride in its heritage and the influence it has had on Ukrainian video game development and confirms it is still working on two projects with its upcoming Metro sequel and an unannounced IP.
