Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Fox Hunt Mode Revealed by Konami
Konami is bringing back online multiplayer for Metal Gear with Fox Hunt, a stealth and survival mode for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The mode will launch along with the game on August 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3, but Konami is expanding it with a new mode called “Fox Hunt.”
The new mode is described as a “new type of mode” for the upcoming stealth game and will focus on a “hide-and-go-seek style format in online multiplayer matches.

What Is Fox Hunt Mode?
The game mode’s director, Yu Sahara, explained in the reveal video that the Fox Hunt will take “camouflage and hide-and-go-seek to the next level” in Metal Gear Solid Delta, building on the “back-and-forth tension of staying hidden or searching out the enemy” to create an intense and immersive mode.
While the mode is not the return of Metal Gear Online, which many fans had hoped for, Sahara promises “an online experience unique to Metal Gear” that returning and new players can enjoy.
How It Fits Into Metal Gear Solid Delta
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a “faithful” remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, but Konami is keen to do more with additional game modes. Such modes include an Ape Escape and Xbox Bomberman crossovers.
Fox Hunt is a standalone experience within the game that enhances the overall gameplay, offering an extra layer of challenge for players while introducing something fun and engaging.
