When Does the Pokémon Legends Z-A DLC Release?

Many players assumed Mega-Dimension would require months of additional development, following the pattern of previous Pokémon titles. Surprisingly, the DLC is set to launch on December 10, 2025, less than two months after the base game hits shelves. For fans arguing that this content could have been part of the original release, the announcement feels hard to swallow.

 

Step Into a Parallel Lumiose City

In this new adventure, strange dimensional rifts begin to appear throughout Lumiose City. Players will meet Ansha, a mysterious new character accompanied by Hoopa, guiding them through these unstable portals.

Each rift leads to an alternate, more perilous version of Lumiose — packed with rare and unusually strong Pokémon. To tackle these challenges, players must have completed the main story first. Along the way, Korrina (Shalour City’s Gym Leader) joins your team, and several new Mega Evolutions are introduced:

  • Mega-Chimecho 
  • Mega-Baxcalibur
  • Mega-Raichu

A new side quest, “Shine Bright like a Gemstone,” is also available now, offering a free Diancite as a reward — perfect for those who can’t wait for the expansion.

The Mega-Dimension DLC is priced at $29.99, giving players access to exclusive outfits — the Holo X and Holo Y sets. Pre-orders come with a useful bonus pack:
