Manor Lords Release Date

Manor Lords is one of the most-anticipated, maybe even the most-anticipated city builder game this year. As soon as it hit 2 million Steam wishlists, it snowballed at an ever faster rate to 3 million in a span of a week! And now the time has come to lay claims on lands!

What to expect with Manor Lords Early Access?

As it is a city-building game, you can expect the usual community development, both in structure and industries. Medieval warfare is also going to be part of it as it is inevitable that neighboring lords will want to expand (as you are too) causing conflict between settlements. And as you increase your territory and population, managing resources, trade routes, and developing technological advancement will also be under your care.

Only one map is planned so far for the early access launch. While there are scenarios with bandits you can clear in the game, the AI lord battles will be off-map. These battles are for when you want to claim a particular area under an established lordship.

Apart from this standard scenario, there is also an ultra-hard and “peaceful” variant. And as for customization, you will be able to select character portraits, name them, and design your coat of arms.

Is Manor Lords available on console?

Manor Lords will launch on PC via Steam and GOG; and on PC Game Pass. The devs assured that it will be released on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass too but at a later date. Although it wasn’t specified, Manor Lords console version will most likely come out at the same time as the 1.0 full release.

Where to play Manor Lords for free?

Manor Lords had a free demo in 2022 and stuck with the demo dates published. None were released since then so the only way to play Manor Lords for free is through PC Game Pass. The game is one of the six day-one launches on Game Pass April 2024 and the second to the last title to enter the service this month.
