ChillyRoom has officially announced its latest project, Loulan: The Cursed Sand, an all-new action RPG for PC and PS5. Set along the Silk Road, players are a skeletal warrior on a “tragic journey to find the lost Princess of Loulan.”

Revealed with a trailer, ChillyRoom has announced the game is available to wishlist now ahead of its release for PC and PlayStation 5.

The game’s Steam store page boasts “realistic melee combat” that is grounded and features a dynamic top-down perspective. Players can switch combat styles, from bone to sand forms, as the terrain and enemies change based on player actions.
With a rich fantasy world to explore, players will visit “diverse regions” in handcrafted levels, facing off against unique enemy types and colossal bosses.

Loulan: The Cursed Sand is a Diablo-inspired action RPG set in the ancient Kingdom of Loulan.
Players take on the role of the skeletal warrior, the Cursed Sand. After resurrecting, he begins a tragic search for the lost and beloved princess, inspired by the “Xiaohe Princess,” a 2003 archaeological discovery of a woman who reportedly lived between 1900 BC and 1613 BC.
Set along the Silk Road, players will find iconic landscapes that transform through “a fantastical lens,” from vast, searing hot deserts to free-flowing rivers of sand.
