Lost Skies is the open-world survival game developed by Bossa Studio. It was first announced in 2023 by Humble Games. An open world game set in an archipelago of floating islands, where we’ll uncover what led to the downfall of an ancient civilization.

Offering an adventure in the skies with a strong crafting and survival component. It’s all playable in co-op. Aboard our flying ship that we can upgrade and improve to face the dangers of the skies. Lost Skies Now Available in Early Access

Following the official announcement on April 4th, 2025, Bossa Studio’s theme is finally ready to launch Lost Skies. Their new open-world exploratory and survival game takes us to an archipelago of floating islands. The game is now available in Early Access starting today, April 18th, 2025.

Accompanied by the Launch Trailer presented during the first The Galaxies Showcase 2025 on April 17th. A trailer that catapults us into a sky-bound adventure, solo or co-op, to reclaim the skies. With survival, strong crafting, and epic battles!

Lost Skies: Gameplay and Main Features

Bossa Studio’s new game offers a fresh survival open-world adventure in the skies. In a mysterious world where we’ll discover what caused the fall of the ancient civilization. And most importantly, on the Atlas, the special mineral that not only makes the islands float but is also a vital resource during the adventure. Offering the following:

• Open World: An open-world full of mysteries and challenges to explore. With Early Access granting us the first region: The Outskirts.
• Survival and Crafting: The heart of the game, where we must gather resources to unlock upgrades and crafting enhancements. All to provide new features and turn our ship into a true flying fortress.
• Co-op: We can play with up to 6 players in co-op, with an adventure specially designed for co-op. But we’ll also be able to face the skies solo, even in offline mode.

Bossa Studio’s team plans to focus on improving features and adding new ones during Early Access. Some showcases have already been done with content creators, such as the recent video from Z1 Gaming. Where they show us the title in action with crafting, exploration, and combat.

In Conclusion

Lost Skies is certainly an open-world co-op game with a lot of potential. But also a major project for Bossa Studio after the decision to shut down the servers of Worlds Adrift. A game that certainly inspired Lost Skies. With Early Access giving us our first taste of the game, and the team will soon share the roadmap and new features coming soon!
